Family owned and operated, Ultimate Hands Free Solutions recognized an opportunity in the wireless industry to develop a hands free car kit based upon the Minkow’s long standing involvement in the wireless industry. Starting in 1980, Norman Minkow, recognized an opportunity in the rapidly expanding electronic communications industry, developing AllCity Paging into a highly successful $22 million company, acknowledged to be one of the largest privately owned paging companies in the nation. Along with his sons, Steven and Brian, their efforts in growing the company into an attractive investment, in 1994 AllCity became a wholly owned subsidiary of Metrocall, Inc. a Virginia-based firm. After the acquisition, the Minkow’s owned 5% of Metrocall, a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ. Metrocall became the second largest publicly traded paging company in the United States.
